We here at Mäni’s love 89.9 KCRW. For those of you not tuned in, KCRW, "a community service of Santa Monica College, is Southern California's leading National Public Radio affiliate, featuring an eclectic mix of music, news, and arts programming". Superb!
In support of KCRW's fundraising drive, Mäni’s provides our delicious breakfast pastries to fuel the hungry volunteers who charitably lend their time to a noble cause. Of course, our fruit juice-sweetened pastries made with whole wheat flour give them the sustainable energy they'll need to answer those phones all day.
We also make a twice-annual donation of twenty Mäni’s Cards that lucky KCRW listeners are gifted for their subscription donations of $50. Mäni’s Cards can be used like gift cards to purchase your favorite yummies, be they sandwiches or cupcakes. You can also register your Mäni’s Card online to participate in our Mäniac Rewards Club. You'll earn one point on your card balance for every dollar you spend. When you sign up for the Mäniac Rewards Club, we’ll pre-load your card with an additional 10 points, and after you’ve enrolled, you can begin using it right away to earn points. When you dine-in or take out at Mäni’s, present your card to your server or counterperson. When you collect a balance of 100 points, you can visit your online account to convert the balance to $10 Mäni's Dollars, to be used for your next purchase! Pretty sweet (pun intended).

Also wowing us (and tempting us on a minute-to-minute basis) are our new Vegan Brownies. Sweetened with organic cane. You'd never guess that not only are these brownies vegan, but they are made with whole wheat and brown rice flours! No white stuff in there. Super rich and moist, they come in walnut and vegan ganache-topped versions.
Don't miss our Vegan Cheesecake! It's sweetened with fruit juice and has an awesome, crumbly almond crust. It's gluten-free, to boot!

Mäni’s has donated a few of our favorite products (Carrot Raisin and Chocolate Raspberry Fortress Cakes, Peanut Butter Bites) to Michelle Cozens' Bake For The Quake bake sale for Haiti relief. If you are in the LA area today, please go check it out and show your support with your purchase of a baked good! You can also bring goods to donate. All proceeds go to the American Red Cross.
