Some people call it the Cheers factor at Mäni’s. It’s the way our regulars know the staff. They know what’s new. How someone is doing. Perhaps these people know more about Mäni’s than anyone else. So we’re inviting all you regulars to have your Table 1 corner. Here’s the deal. You write a story, comment, a few sentences about your experience at Mäni’s and we post them. Send any story you want published directly to me, . If we get enough interest in this over the next week or two, we’ll design a special section for you right on our blog site. So let’s have some fun, and welcome to Table 1. Of course, every regular (staff will approve this) gets a complimentary dessert as a kick off. (Limited time offer!) Oh yeah include how often you come here, how many of the staff you know etc. Thanks for being a Mäniac (regular).

Related to the melon and the cucumber, summer squash comes in many different shapes, colors and sizes. It can be served raw with dips or cooked in any possible manner. Some common types are zucchini, crookneck and pattypan. The whole vegetable can be eaten including the flowers in some varieties. Its mild flavor and tender texture makes it very versatile to use in main dishes or pasta. But unlike winter squash, summer squash are more fragile and can only be stored for short periods of time.
