We will be installing a WiFi system so guests can log-on to the net and be connected while at Mäni’s. This will happen within the next few weeks. The service will require guests to obtain permissions from their server. Please be mindful that we cannot offer this service during peak times or when other guests are waiting for a table. We’ll be asking for your help in drafting these new policies to be able to offer you this FREE service. This would be a great time to offer suggestions, ask questions and be part of the process of making this exciting new service work for everyone. Join us and ask your friends their ideas on WiFi at Mäni’s on Fairfax. Just click on the comments hyperlink below and tell us what you think. Thanks! Larry

If you have been around Mäni’s on Fairfax during the evening on a weekend, you have probably noticed that we have gotten quite popular. I am not sure if it is because of the amazing menu that our very own Chef Jose created for summer. (Make sure you get here and try the Summer Grain salad before it goes away!) Or if is because of the awesome bakery items that make us a perfect dessert stop on the way home. Or maybe it was a couple of comment cards in the customer feedback box on the front counter. (Yes, we do read them!)
Based on all this we have decided to add more team members to the floor during the weekend evenings. What does this mean for you? Prompt and attentive service in a relaxing and nurturing environment. So, stop by and say hi to everyone working… and grab a slice of pie, a piece of cake, or a cookie. By the way, did you know that our kitchen is cooking food all the way till midnight on Friday and Saturday nights? Just in case you get a craving.
Here is what a few other customers have let us know: “I love this diner. Its simple yet inviting decor is soothing and the food is GREAT!”
“Thanks for starting to offer a few gluten free items. The Rasin Scone is yummy”
“Nice Makeover”
“Please start bottling and selling your Caesar Dressing. It ROCKS!”
“The Protein Salad was amazing. You need more servers on Saturday nights.”
Please let us know your thougths. What are we doing well? What could we do more better or different? It is an exciting time here at Mäni’s!

New phone system, no waiting, no crazy extensions. Pure and simple, like us! Just dial in to 323-938-8800, and hit 3 for the front counter, 4 for location, or 5 for delivery. Thanks for being so patient.

As many of you know, Mani's is going to match your donations to the American Red Cross. At 1 pm today (9/20) we counted a total of 489 dollars from you. When we reach 500 dollars, we will match it with 500 dollars and turn it over to the Red Cross. Thank you! We are all grateful to you for supporting us in our effort to take part in helping those who are in serious need right now. We will update you, when we give the money to the Red Cross.

Here's the latest update for our Helping Hand Cookie Sales. As most of you know by now, we're selling these crispy butter cookies for a dollar and all monies collected will be given to Americas Second Harvest. For every dollar A2H receives they can provide 4 bags of food to feed the hungry. The Hurricane in the Gulf Coast has left many with nothing at all... some haven't even got I.D. to prove who they are! A2H is involved with those who have been devastated by hurricane Katrina as well as the many who already go hungry here in the U.S.A. Our thought behind the Helping Hand Cookie is that when you come in to Mani's for some of our healthier alternatives to traditional baked goods, why not donate a dollar to America's Second Harvest and get a Helping Hand Cookie in return. As of 11 am today (Monday) our total sales are 434 cookies. At 4bags of food for every cookie you buy, that totals 1,736 bags of food available to eat. If you would like to check out Americas Second Harvest click here. If you have any comments or questions about anything please feel free to click the comment bar below. Thanks. And thank you to all of you for your support!
