If it's Wednesday, it must be Costa Rica.
This week we continue our tour
of Mäni's Bakery
Café's beverage menu and take you to Costa Rica,
home of the fine, gourmet coffee we prepare for you
every day.
Mäni's is proud to feature
Café Britt coffee,
brought to you from
a five-acre plantation, high in the mountains of
Costa Rica near the historic city of Barva. This
area is known as the Central Valley region and is
surrounded by the very coffee bushes that produce
the coffee.
Café
Britt is one of the only coffee companies in the
world with the ability to monitor and account for
every step in the coffee producing process because
it is completely produced in its country of
origin: harvested, milled, patio dried, roasted,
and packed.
Cafe Britt's website has a lot of great facts
about coffee, roasting, cupping (kind of like wine
tasting), as well as recipes for coffee drinks.
And, have you ever wondered how much caffeine is in a cup of java?
Here's a comparison from the Café Britt web site:

Back to Mäni's. Our house coffee is Costa
Rican and we offer it in both regular and decaf.
You
can also purchase Café Britt beans both in regular
and decaf and light or dark roast, so you can brew
it exactly the way you want it in the comfort of
your own home.
If you're wondering why we're talking about coffee
during these hot, burning days of summer, we're
here to remind you that an iced coffee drink can
be unbeatable when you need a lift and a respite
from the heat. Won't you join us for a cup
of coffee this week?
P.S. Next time
you're at Mäni's, try a cup of Costa Rican with a
Black Bottom Banana Cream Tart -- you'll think
you're in heaven! |
